The Impressionist painter Gustave Caillebotte ( 1848- 1894 ) was once the proprietor. Several of his pictures are in the Orsay Museum, including the famous "Les Raboteurs de Parquet"
( The Floor Planers ).

The apartment is on the 3rd floor ( American 4th ), without elevator, double exposure (with view of street), pleasant, clear, calm, with wooden floors.

The two train stations are very well served by bus, several metro lines ( subway ), and the RER ( suburban line ).
An RER line arrives in Gare du Nord direct from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The neighborhood is popular, but calm.
By foot, in 25 minutes you are in the very center of Paris or in the Marais quarter.
There is also pleasant walking nearby along the canal
Saint Martin.
